What we do
The Company's activities are based on "Service". Our objectives are to provide technical expertise combined with a high degree of personal service and support.
We supply and support Geevs Servers and Lightworks Editors around the world either separately or as part of Tapeless Production systems. We also distribute a range of products from other manufacturers into the UK.
Background
Founded in early 1987 by Keith and Sarah Gee, the Company has grown, based on strong technical expertise and customer support. The company was initially set-up to provide a design and installation service for Broadcast Television Systems but expanded to equipment sales and distribution, including videographics and "engineering" products. Later the Geevs family of video servers was developed and lead to growth in exports.
3 years ago Gee Broadcast acquired Lightworks which allows us to provide a well integrated Tapeless Production System with Multichannel servers and outstanding editing systems.
Gee Broadcast Systems with Lightworks now has a team of Engineers who offer, between them, many man-years of broadcast television experience, and the development team of software engineers continues to grow.
Our premises in Basingstoke consist of 5,000 sq ft of office and workshop space, flexibly configured to allow the manufacturing and testing of large and small Geevs and Lightworks systems, together with our range of distributed products.
Geevs Server Systems
Geevs Servers can be built to meet the requirements of many different applications. We are happy to provide system design and consultancy to ensure the best configuration is determined for any specific requirement.
We work closely with System Integrators to ensure that the customer receives the required systems design, installation, commissioning and training services to complement their Geevs Servers.
Backed by our team of the Industry's finest engineers, we will be able to help, whether you are a small production company or a television broadcaster.
Lightworks Editors
Lightworks Editors are used in many different areas including Feature Films, TV Drama, Soaps, Commercials and Sports.
Lightworks is known for its Console and user interface which together provide flexible and fast editing. Now available as a fully configured HD/SD system (Alacrity) or as a software package (Softworks) Lightworks can run standalone or in networked systems and integrate with Geevs Servers.
Tapeless Production Systems
Tapeless Production Systems are configured to match specific customers needs and can include Geevs Servers and Lightworks Editors. We have an open policy so can also support other editing or Server applications within our solutions. Systems are optimized for productivity and ease of operation and combine standard software and hardware and, when required, custom elements, to provide the most cost effective and efficient solution.
